Our helical photobioreactor is a compact piece of hardware that provides the light and CO2 needed for Algae to grow in a controlled and optimised environment, ensuring 10x the productivity of current algae solutions.

The helical shape means that the bioreactor is space-efficient, low-cost and manufacturable at scale.

The Algenie photobioreactor features a novel solution - the world’s first helical extrusion. The Algenie Helix is patented, along with additional patents covering carbon dioxide concentration, light management, harvesting and control.

The helix design can be built in minutes per helix
at a few hundred dollars per unit. With a single acetate extrusion and a ribbon of LED’s, our photobioreactor is designed for low cost manufacturing and scalability.
